Fandom: Getting a little creative with LoK…

Over the last three months I’ve been working on three costumes since my adventure to Comic Con at the end of October 2013…these have just been created for the fun of it…

Two of the costumes are now complete so I thought I’d share them...so much for me keeping them a secret but I'm far too excited!

Please keep in mind the make-up was a quick job – so would probably be better if/when they are a go…

Project One

First of all – I present to you…Blood Omen 2 Kain…wearing the armour from the final scenes of the game! This was the first one I made and it was a little trial and error with materials and how to design things – some bits had to be a little bit of my own creation as I worked from several game screen shoots. It took probably around 30 hours…

…and I now know Kain’s worst enemy with this armour – stairs and small spaces – make him face either and he’ll fail…yes half the time I had to walk like a crab!!!! It’s not very practical lol.

I'm not sure if this will make it to a Comic Con just because it's actually so awkward to function in..and I'll probably end up impaling people by accident lol.

Project Three

And now for something a little more modern…I present to you Alchemist from Nosgoth…yep I went there…ok I was bored over Xmas and I couldn’t do any more work on the second project and had a little inspiration so made this. I tried some different materials after learning from the Kain one – again though some bits are a little bit of my own creation because it’s hard to get some things to work in real life…it took around 30 hours…

…what I’ve learned from this is Alchemists can’t look down and potions are really really heavy – how she can run around wearing them all the time – she must have legs of steel or the stamina of an ox!

She will probably come along to a Comic Con sometime this year.

Project Two

The second project I’m working on is taking quite a while…I started it back in November. It’s a whole new learning experience and I’m doing stuff I never thought would be possible – it is pretty fun and messy but will hopefully be my most epic creation! It has taken a good 40 hours so far and will probably take a good couple of months to finish…for now hopefully it’ll remain a secret as only a few people know what it is…

Well that’s about it…until next time – peace out – and play LoK!
